The Trumps had themselves married in 1977 in a lavish society wedding, and became leading figures in New York society during the 1980s. They both worked on several massive projects, including the construction of the Grand Hyatt Hotel, the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and the Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. The couple had three children: Donald John Jr. (b. 1977), Ivanka Marie (b. 1981), and Eric Fredrick (b. 1984).
Their divorce was settled in 1992.
